Goal: Development of diode pumped solid state laser kit for education in basic laser physics.

Applications

The system was designed for educational purposes, to introduce the students in basic laser physics and allows them to accumulate some practical skills in basic laser alignment procedures. Laser cavity alight and optimization. Studying the optimal reflection coefficient of the output coupler. Optimizing the pump efficiency be tuning the laser diode temperature.

For more advanced student, familiar with basic nonlinear optics, system allows experiments with second harmonic generation and passive q-switching with a saturable absorber.
