PREMA 5000 Digital Multimeter

Goal: Building a UI for PREMA 5000 digital multimeter using GPIB industrial protocol.

Applications

PREMA 5000 DMM is one of the best digital multimeter a have ever worked with. An excellent example of German high quality hardware build in late 1984. After all these years it offer all that, you need for precise DC voltage measurement down to 1 [uV] with 100 [nV] resolution, together with other nice features.

In this project we develop a user interface, supporting all commands available on the device, using available GPIB industrial interface. Software solution allows automated sampling of the measured values. All data are plotted in real time on the user interface and automatically collected in a *.csv file at the end of the measurement.

All functions for manual control of the device are also available through the software controls.
